Napoleon before the sphinx.

In which city can you find pyramids at the end of the street?
In which city can you find the desert when you leave this city?
In wich city can you find the Nil when you leave your hotel?
In Cairo, of course.
But Cairo is very cultural too. Indeed the Romans occupied this city so we find coptic churches. After the Arabs invaded Cairo and lot of mosques were built. In 1169 the famous Saladin becomes vizir. SO if you go to Cairo visit the Citadel of Saladin. But the Mamluks taked Cairo too. Then the Ottamans settled in Cairo . After there were a succession of power: the Frenches (Napoléon), the Englishes, the Ottamans, the Albanian and the Englishes. But after the Cairenes become indepedente.
So we can see that Cairo has a long history.
